Jewelry Care 101
While our jewelry is meant to be worn every day and is produced at highest quality, like most things in life it needs a little TLC along the way.
Here are a few tips and tricks you must consider to keep your jewelry looking its sparkly best:
● Wear your jewelry after you have applied beauty products such as makeup, hairspray, deodorant and perfume.
● Always remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing or showering.
● To keep your piece looking its best, gently clean with the Amaaya cloth after every wear.
● Store your jewelry pieces separately in our Amaaya jewelry pouches when not worn to avoid scratches, marks and tangles.
Our Materials
Every jewelry piece at Amaaya is handmade with high-quality sterling silver. Our jewelry is either plated with rhodium or 24k Gold. All our jewelry pieces are hypoallergenic and hallmarked with “925” due to their sterling silver base.
Sterling Silver
925 Sterling Silver is an alloy of 92.5% of pure silver and 7.5% of copper. At Amaaya, we coat our sterling silver jewelry with a layer of rhodium to protect it from inevitable tarnishing and enhancing the shine and durability.
Our Sterling Silver is nickel free, is hypoallergenic and 70% recycled. This material is a favorite for people with sensitive skin.
Gold Plated
We use 24k gold with a thickness of 1 micron, layered over sterling silver for our gold plated jewelry. All our gold plated jewelry is hallmarked with “925” due to its sterling silver base.
